Ticketed Events 2012
Restaurant trails, foraging trails, 'Bus Bia' tours, cookery demonstrations, GIY workshops, biscuit baking for children, film screenings and lots of other wonderful ticketed events regularly appear at the festival.
Restaurant trails take in three local restaurants where you stop and eat at each, with entertainment and goodies along the way.
Foraging trips include the Crude Food Trail which takes place in Colligan Wood where you can learn all about the incredible edibles growing all around, while the ever popular Seaweed Seminar will take you through seaweed and all its amazing applications on Clonea Beach, followed by a light lunch from the sea.
'Bus Bia' tours bring you through a variety of routes throughout West Waterford to meet the producers of our fantastic foods.
Cookery demonstrations are one of the highlights of the festival as the cream of local and national chefs take to the stage in the Town Hall Theatre to prepare some of their favourite dishes. In 2011 our "Creme de la Creme" of chefs comprised Paul Flynn of The Tannery, Ross Lewis from Chapter One and Martin Shanahan from Fishy Fishy in Kinsale, while local chefs competed in a 'Ready, Chef, Go' cook off. In previous years the festival has played host to Catherine Fulvio, Derry Clarke, Kevin Dundon, Nevin Maguire and Richard Corrigan.
