Meet the hands that make the food

 

We invite you to follow the river to Knockanore and meet Eamonn Lonergan on his Dairy farm where Eamonn uses raw milk produced by his pedigree herd of Friesian cows to make multi award winning Knockanore cheddar cheese. Then onto Thomas Baldwin, also a dairy farmer based in Knockanore. Thomas will tell us why happy cows make the best ice cream! Next stop is Ballyduff where Peter Mulryan will welcome you to the Blackwater Distillery where you will learn of the wonderful alchemy behind the production of whiskey and gin. The final stop will be at Barron’s Bakery, Cappoquin where you will be brought through the ancient arty of bread making the 17th century scotch brick ovens are still in daily use. Your tour will finish here with a light lunch at the bakery.
